Berta McWhorter, age 84, passed away after a brief illness on October 12, 2022. Most recently of Lake Jackson Texas, She was born August 23, 1938 in Houston Texas to Howard Lee Ford and Lucille Bernice Cosgrove. Raised in Houston she graduated from Jefferson Davis High School. She was the widow of Cecil McWhorter. Berta is survived by her daughter Danelle Lorke, granddaughter Tiffany Bailey, great grandchildren Katelyn Pyka and Cody Pyka.
