Being the baby girl, she was called Baby Sweet by all who knew and loved her. Bertha was born and raised in Brookshire, Texas and resided in Brookshire until relocating to Houston, Texas with her husband Bennie N, Rabb. Bertha and Bennie were the parents to seven children. Bertha was a stay-at-home mother and wife. A consummate mother and homemaker, Bertha was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She took care of her family and was also known for her excellent babysitting skills. In addition to her own children, she nurtured many children of her own family, church family and friends.Bertha had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of Christian Home Baptist Church. Being blessed with a beautiful and melodic soprano voice, she was a talented member of the church choir. She sang and served for over 60 years with the church's Senior Choir, Women's Choir, mass Choir and briefly with the Sanctuary Choir.
