Blanche Ruth Bright

On July 17, 1935 a daughter was born to the late Edward Sanders Sr. and Willie B. Sanders in Bastrop, Texas. She was the first of two children. She grew up and attended schools in Bastrop until moving to Houston to attend Texas Southern University. She married Maurice Bright on June 17, 1956. This union produced two sons, Ronnie and Maurice Jr. At an early age she confessed Christ at the Shiloh Primitive Church. Shortly after moving to Houston, she united with Progressive Mt. Herman Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend C. T. Lee. In the early 1980's she united with New Pleasant Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Wiley Dunn. She retired from the North Forest ISD after many years of service as a teacher's aid at Rogers Elementary and Mt Houston Elementary. She departed this life on the morning of January 19, 2014. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Maurice, her sons Ronnie and Maurice Jr, her brother Edward Charles Sanders, grandchildren Latisha Bailey, Darell Bright, Ravyn Bright, great-grandchildren Alyssa Creer and Cydnee Leday, and a host of other relatives and friends.
