Bonnie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Lenn Elward Munsil and Ellen Irene Munsil (McGavern), her beloved husband of 51 years, Austin Orville Sutton, her daughter Janiece Sue Robertson (Sutton), her son-in-law Bill White, Sr., her brothers Bruce Shirley Munsil, and Robert Lee Munsil, and her sisters Luella Irene Cooper (Munsil), and Doris Jean Murphy (Munsil).
Bonnie Mae is survived by her daughter Bonnie Gail White (Sutton) of Cypress, Texas, her sister Barbara Ellen Russell (Munsil) of Montgomery, Texas, and her son-in-law Emmett Ray Robertson of Spring, Texas.
She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as Granny; Tina Ruiz (Robertson) and husband Rudy Ruiz, Alex White and wife Cheryl White, Nicholas White and wife Sarah White, and Bill White, Jr. and wife Hannah White.
Along with 8 great grandchildren; Brooklynn White, Aubrey White, Seth Ruiz, Gaige White, Troy Ruiz, Declan White, Nolan White, and Asher White, all of the Houston area, and several nephews and nieces across several states.
Throughout her life, Bonnie was cherished by all who knew her as daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, fellow church member, friend, and neighbor. She loved Jesus with all her heart, had a quick wit that could easily brighten a room, and is described by her grandkids as being wise, strong, stubborn (in the best way), sacrificial, tenacious, ornery, thoughtful, opinionated, present, feisty, generous, and loving.
While we all grieve the loss of her presence here on earth, it is an honor to celebrate a beautiful legacy of faith in Jesus. We rejoice in knowing that Granny is reunited with her Savior and those who have gone before!
She will be laid to rest beside her sweetheart, Austin, at Brookside Memorial Park in Houston.
A visitation for Bonnie will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A committal service will occur Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039.
