Born in Houston, Texas on January 31, 1919 to William H. Massey, Jr. and Florence Irene Thomas, Broman was a World War II veteran-Normandy. He graduated from the University of Chicago in 1950 and from Mexico City College in 1952.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Luisa Gomez Massey, daughter Antonia Massey Wong and husband Peter, daughter Luisa del Pilar Massey and Luciano Ventura, and son William H. Massey, III. He is survived by grandchildren Natalie and Nicholas Camarata, Amanda Wong and Daniel Gusart, and Peter Paul Wong, He is also survived by brother-in-law, Jose Gomez Parcero of Mexico City. Numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces survive him.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m., with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. A private interment will take place at the Houston National Cemetery.
