Ms. Carolyn Yvonne Francis

Death is God’s way of saying, “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”

Rest came to Carolyn Yvonne Francis at the age of 68 in her home on Friday, October 27, 2023.

Carolyn Yvonne Francis was born on September 10, 1955, to the proud parents of Willie Joseph Francis and Etta Mae Green. Carolyn gave her life to Christ and was Baptized at an early age at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.

Ms. Francis attended Phillis Wheatley High School, Class of 1974 in Houston, TX. After high school, she worked for Travelers Insurance for 2 years and then for American General Insurance where she worked until 2013.

Not only was Carolyn Francis a faithful and loving daughter, sister, and auntie, she also appreciated the good things in life such as cooking good meals, for her friends and family and traveling with her sister, nieces, and nephews.

Carolyn Francis is preceded in death by her parents Willie Joseph Francis, and Etta Mae Green, brothers Charles Edward Francis, and Kenneth Eugene Francis, and great nephew Melvin Frank Luster III.

Carolyn Francis leaves behind to cherish her precious memories: Three brothers Willie Ray Francis, Larry Darnell Francis, and Rickey Lee Francis, and one sister Patricia Ann Jackson.

Carolyn Francis also leaves to mourn her a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation for Carolyn will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Carl Barnes Funeral Home, Inc, 746 W 22nd Street, Houston, TX 77008. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, 746 W 22nd Street, Houston, TX 77008. A committal service will occur Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM, 746 W 22nd Street, Houston, TX 77008.
