

Carolyn Kendrick Williams, aged 67, passed away with her children and loved ones holding vigil at 10 pm, May 6th, 2015. Carolyn was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was a native Houstonian, born February 14th, 1948.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving parents, Paul H. Kendrick and Olga Theodore; and her beloved brother, James P. Kendrick. She is survived by her sons, Andy Williams, and Dennis Williams (Kellie Williams); daughters, Caroline Williams, and Hayley Parks (Nick Parks); six grandchildren, Riley Williams, Finn Williams, Patrick Williams, Madeline Williams, Emma Williams, and Elias Parks; sisters, Sarah Hailey, and Mildred Lamonte; brother, Ted Kendrick (Elizabeth Kendrick); as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Carolyn grew up in the north side of Houston. She attended Peter Janowski Elementary, Burbank Jr. High, and graduated from Sam Houston Senior High School. Carolyn was passionate about many things, and had many varied interests over the course of her life; music, concerts, comedy, vintage treasures, hosting wonderful parties, and bringing people together, but mainly she was passionate, and wildly enthusiastic about the people she loved. She loved them with 100 percent of her heart, and it showed in the number of people who called her “friend”. She loved her friends and family deeply, and was a devoted mother, and grandmother.
She had a wonderful heart, and encouraged goodness, compassion and kindness wherever she went. Carolyn was a light in this world, and those who loved her well know that she is shining brightly in Heaven.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 11th, 2015, at 10 am in the chapel at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd., Houston, TX 77008. The Funeral Procession will depart to Historic Hollywood Cemetery, 3506 N. Main St., Houston, TX 77009, following the service.
Following the burial there will be a celebration of Carolyn’s life at the home of her niece, Melissa Wood, 415 Fairbanks Dr., Magnolia, TX 77354. All family and friends are welcome.
Carolyn was so incredibly loved.
