

> Cayetana Reyes passed away peacefully at home November 7, 2020 in Houston, Texas. Tana, as she was dearly known by many, was 92 years old. She was born in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was the fourth of six siblings. She is preceded in death by her parents Alejandra Reyes Barajas and Ignacio Reyes Juárez, her three sisters, Maria Luisa Reyes, Teresa Kodama and Eva Zamora and two brothers Ignacio Reyes and Guillermo Reyes. She is survived by her two daughters Lourdes Nouchedehi (Jafar) and Alexandra Vasquez (Fermin), grandchildren Leila Berridge (Zackary), Amina Nouchedehi (Esmail Moosavi), Christina Warner (Andrew), and Marc Vasquez, great-grandchildren Sofia Diane Warner, Penelope Rose Berridge and numerous nieces and nephews.

> She was an adventurous, outgoing, self-driven woman who emigrated from Mexico in the mid 1950’s to pursue the American dream. Tana taught herself English, which opened the door to finding her true passion, a career in sales. She was employed by Forest Park Cemeteries for over twenty-five years through which she was able to provide much needed services to the Houston Hispanic community. As a result of her incredible work ethic, charm, and persuasive nature, she proudly earned the title of top salesperson time and time again.

> Tana loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling, dancing & listening to music, and always looked forward to a great tamalada. Her annual holiday tamale making tradition will be carried on by her family for years to come.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 from 5-9 PM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Grand Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
