Charlene G. Briones

Charlene Garza Briones was born on July 2, 1962 in Houston, Texas. She attended Lamar Elementary, Marshall Jr. High, Jeff Davis High School, and the University of Houston-Downtown. She worked for a while for the Houston Public Library and was a senior Clerk for 25 years for the Harris County Sheriff’s Department. She loved listening to music, watching movies, attending Elton John Concerts, reading, surfing the internet, and spending time with her beloved cats.

Charlene is survived by her husband of 34 years Florencio G. Briones, her sister Paulette Garza Espino, her brother-in –law Sammy Espino, her brother Stanley Garza, her sister-in-law Margarita Garza, and sister-in-law Mary Jessie Briones. Charlene is also survived by numerous nieces, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Estanislao Garza and her mother Cristina Lopez Garza.

A lifelong near Northside Houston resident, Charlene will be missed by many.

A visitation for Charlene will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a recitation of the holy rosary from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
