

Charles R. Escobar, age 65, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, just two days after celebrating his birthday. Charles had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued. His warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a generous and caring soul whose presence enriched the lives of those around him.
Charles deeply loved people and immensely enjoyed traveling. He possessed remarkable artistic talent and found joy in drawing and sketching. Known by many as a “human calculator,” Charles had an extraordinary gift with numbers—able to solve problems in seconds with ease. Music was one of his favorite pastimes, and he had an incredible memory for songs, often recalling the title, artist, and even the year a song was released.
He attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, St. John’s Lutheran School, and St. Thomas Catholic High School, later graduating from Houston Technical Institute in 1980.
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Jacinta R. Escobar and Margarito C. Escobar, as well as his brothers, Joseph A. Escobar and Adrian R. Escobar.
He is survived by his brothers, Alex Escobar (Gloria), Roland Escobar (Alicia), and Francis Escobar; his sisters, Betty Escobar and Elizabeth Escobar; and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles also leaves behind a treasure of wonderful friends who esteemed and loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Grand Chapel, with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m., at Forest Park Funeral Home Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, Texas 77023.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Grand Chapel. A committal service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
Charles’s legacy of love, friendship, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
