Mr. Kennedy was born on July 14, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Charles W. Kennedy, Sr., and Mary Dunn Kennedy. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Mary Diers Kennedy. His children include his daughters, Emily Katherine Kennedy, Anne Elise Kennedy, and son-in-law, Michael Dyrby Jensen. Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Kennedy Ricci, and is survived by brother-in-law, Robert Ricci, Sr., nephew, Robert Ricci, Jr., niece, Lori Ricci Carlson, numerous other family, many dear friends, and his favorite dog, Rudolph.
Mr. Kennedy was a respected member of the State Bar of Texas for over 40 years. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1968, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Oklahoma. He was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, and a graduate of The Kinkaid School, Class of 1961.
A memorial service, followed by a gathering of family and friends, will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Heights Funeral Home.
