Born on March 11, 1970, Chris was the first born child of Armand and Mary Lois Trevino. A proud Houstonian, he graduated from the High School for Law and Justice in 1987. His early career was defined by a commitment to public service, first with the Houston Police Department and later serving as a guard at the Harris County Jail. Chris eventually chose to focus his time and energy on his health and the true heartbeat of his world: his family.
Chris was a man who lived life through a lens, both literally and figuratively. He was rarely seen without his camera, obsessed with capturing every moment, every laugh, and every milestone. Because of his dedication to documenting their lives, his family is left with a visual legacy of his love. When he wasn't behind the camera, he was likely immersed in his other great passion: music. While he appreciated many genres, heavy metal was his soul. He found immense comfort in the energy of a live concert and the power of a great riff.
To his five children, he was a foundation, raising them alongside his loving wife, Laura, with a pride that was evident to all. As "Big Paw," he doted on his grandsons, who were the light of his life. Whether he was teaching them the fundamentals of baseball and football or "rocking out" with them in the living room, he lived for those moments. While the family mourns that his youngest grandson, James, will not be born in time to know him here, they find solace in knowing Big Paw will be watching over him from above.
Known for his extreme candor, you never had to wonder where you stood with Chris. He was authentic, loved a good time, and possessed the rare gift of turning a stranger into a best friend. He loved his father; Armand, who proceeds him in death, deeply; while his absence leaves a void, his family finds a profound sense of peace knowing that father and son are finally reunited.
Chris is survived by his mother, Mary Lois Trevino; his brother, Michael Trevino; and his devoted wife, Laura Trevino. His legacy lives on through his children: Brandon, Samantha, Sydney, Jacob, and Matthew; and his beloved grandsons: Ethan, Eric, Christian, and Damian, as well as the anticipated arrival of grandson James.
His loss is felt deeply, but his family takes comfort in knowing his soul is at rest and his camera has finally captured the perfect view.
