Cody James Berry

With profound sadness, today we honor the life of Cody James Berry, who entered eternal life on May 16th, 2026. Cody lived 30 years on this earth, bringing fun, joy, and friendship everywhere he went.

Cody possessed an incredibly bright spirit that was contagious. He lit up rooms when he walked into them and brought the party to every occasion. He loved sports, playing darts and games, music, and, above all, he loved his family.

While he brought immense joy to others, he also carried heavy burdens. Cody’s genuine and kind spirit did not pave an easy road in this, at times, merciless world. We choose to have peace here today knowing that he is free of the shackles of this world and reunited with his mom and dad in Heaven, whom he loved and missed so much during his earthly life.

He leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, laughter and kindness. He is survived by his beautiful wife Paige Berry, his son Cody James Berry Junior (CJ Berry), his siblings Melissa Neal (Patrick Korhonen), Stephan Berry (Erica Berry), chosen siblings, Kassie and Marshall Morgan, and siblings in love, Ashlee Hayden (Will Caron), Austin Alexander (Gabby Alexander), Katie Alexander, Alex Alexander. As well as his Grandma Barbara Berry, stepmom Christina Berry, and chosen mom Debbie Hoot, his Illinois Family Paul Berry III, Kristin Berry, and their children Pj, Kaycie, Leah, and Jenna. his parents in love, Mark Alexander (Jodi Alexander), Kimberlee Robinson (David Robinson). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, Hayden, Kylie, Ryder, Walker, Kylee, Sienna, Haylee, as well as many cousins, in-laws, Aunts and Uncles. He leaves behind countless deep friendships that he treasured like family.

Cody’s son CJ will be told stories of his dad through his life and know how much his dad loved him. The people he has left behind will forever love and miss him. We pray the survivors will honor Cody through their lives by choosing kindness, choosing joy, and choosing friendship.

“Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy. Amen.”

Visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, US, on May 24, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, US, on May 24, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Following the service, family and friends are invited to The Newman's house for lunch and further celebration of Cody's life.
