Daniel Gutierrez

He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Gutierrez, and daughters Rita Gutierrez and Linda Boney. He is survived by his daughter Alice Putman; grandchildren Rita Barnett and her husband Harvey L. Barnett III, Tom Putman, and Shelby Grimes; great-grandchildren Hannah Wright and Harvey L. Barnett IV; and siblings Jesse and his wife Rhonda Gutierrez, Bobby and his wife Velma Gutierrez, Brian and his wife Mary Gutierrez, Sammy Gutierrez, and Jane Goodchild.

Daniel was born to Pedro "Pete" and Joaquina Gutierrez on January 4, 1944 in Waelder, Texas. He married his wife, Virginia Gutierrez in Houston on November 13, 1959 and had three daughters, Linda, Rita and Alice. He was a salesman by trade and in his youth, was well-known for his skill at playing pool. He also had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. He always enjoyed sharing laughs with his brothers.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank Joe Castillo for his companionship and care in his final days.

The visitation will be held at 3:00-5:00 pm on May 7, 2020 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060
