

He was a true Christian, a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and the epitome of patriotism.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elois Idom; daughter, Sherry Idom Burke and husband Guy; and son Daniel Eugene Idom and wife Ina.
He is also survived by five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dan, as many knew him, was passionate about gardening and his country serving in the United States Marine Corp., loved spending time with his family and friends, but most of all he truly loved the Lord.
He was a leader at Lindale Assembly of God for 55 years and the Doss community center.
There is a huge hole in our heart but a special place in heaven for a man that was larger than life.

Clinic and the outpatient clinic of Houston Northwest Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, June 7, 2010, in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. A celebration of his life will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Lindale Assembly, 504 Caplin, Houston, Texas 77022. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial, Houston, Texas.
