Daniel Frank Podsednik, age 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, March 18, 2012. Dan is survived by his loving wife and best friend for 49 years, Marie Podsednik, daughters: Mary Elifritz and husband Andy, Dana Podsednik Williams and husband Herschel; brothers: John Podsednik and wife Dorothy, Al Podsednik and wife Carolyn; granddaughters, Katie, Emily and Abbey Elifritz in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. Dan was a good, good man. He laughed and loved, golfed, and loved to have breakfast (or lunch) and attempt to solve the world's problems. He was always rooting for the underdog and the poor. He was proud to have served his country in the Navy and was proud of his country and it’s people. He spent most of his career as a country club manager in Houston and the surrounding area. He will be missed greatly. Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary Thursday, March 22, 2012 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church 4213 Mangum Rd. Houston, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
