My heart breaks to know that David is not going to be there to extend that handshake that he always offered at each of my visits for dental care.  David wasn't only my dentist for the last 30+ years but also a dear friend.  He was a supporting voice while I struggled with my own battle with cancer.  When I heard of David's diagnosis from his beloved office staff my heart sank and I wondered how will his office ever be the same without him there.  Well, I have my next visit on Thursday before David's celebration of Life on Friday.  This will be tough but I hang on to the fact the we will meet again.  Until that time, I pray for his family and all of his many friends that we can all find comfort in knowing that we will all meet again.

Sorry about this. I didn't know him personally, but I used their practice for my dental health.  Regards to the family.

We are raised so that words do not hurt us, but there is one word that can pierce the heart and soul deeply... goodbye.  As we say goodbye to this giant of a man, we find peace in knowing this is not goodbye forever, but goodbye for now.

Dave has breached the seams of eternity, crossed the veil into Heaven, and entered his eternal paradise to dwell forever in the love of God in this sanctuary of brilliance we will one day be united with him in.  As he shines now in his glorified state, ageless and timeless, we will forever remember him.

With a heavy heart and tears of pride, we surrender this hero of ours to the Creator who gave him to us.  His legacy is not lost nor complete as, I know, it will continue through us all who Dave has so deeply touched.

I love you, Dr. Dave...  I will no longer see you here, but I will see you there!

I wasn't a patient of Dr. Ashmore however I did see him a time or two when Dr. Derr wasn't available. He was so kind and even when I was in the office and not under his care you could here and  feel his presence. I thought him and Dr. Derr made a wonderful team. 
I have been a patient of Westfield Dental soon after they opened their doors I believe and this place has always felt like family. My heart breaks for his family as I know how much he will be missed. Rest in Peach Dr. Ashmore and thanks for everything.!!

Dr. Ashmore was my family and I’s dentist for decades. Since the 90’ s. Father, mother and 2 other brothers were all patients of Dr. Ashmore. Although some of my family members have moved on from Westfield dental, we all agree that Dr. Ashmore cared about our health and every treatment was to our satisfaction. 


Thank you Dr. Ashmore for being me and my families dentist. We will miss you greatly.
