

Deacon Roy Breaux Jr., age 72, of Missouri City, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022. He was born on August 21st, 1950 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Roy graduated from Paul Breaux High School in Lafayette, Louisiana in 1968. He married his childhood sweetheart, Mary Catherine in 1970 and moved with her to Houston where he spent most of his career (39 years) as a procurement specialist for the City of Houston. They raised one son, LeMarco, whom they adored. Roy and his wife actively worked together in their church, St. Philip of Jesus Catholic Church. They served together in their community until her illness progressed. Roy continued to serve his community faithfully as a Deacon until his death.
Roy Breaux, Jr. was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Mary Catherine Breaux; his son, Terrance Jamal Breaux; his mother and father, Eva and Roy Breaux, Sr.; his sisters, Patieus Breaux Paris (Camille) and Ramona Breaux; and his maternal/paternal grandparents.
Roy is survived by his son, LeMarco Deounce Breaux and daughter in law, Stacy Breaux; granddaughter, Alegra Elsie Breaux and grandson, Taron Juwan Breaux; his siblings, Patsy Breaux, Romon Breaux and wife Paula, Noland Breaux and wife Patricia, Nedra Breaux Epps and husband Keith, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
We would like to thank Nurse Clint and Nurse Bethany for the care and compassion they showed in his final days. Family and Friends are invited to attend the wake December 4th, 2022 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM at St. Philip of Jesus Catholic Church with Visitation starting at 10:00 AM. The Burial will immediately follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
