Dennis Callihan

Dennis Lee Callihan, Beloved Father, passed away heroically on May 25, 2015. He was born on June 23rd, 1949 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Louis Callihan and Elizabeth Annie Kubin. He is survived by his Daughter Heather Elizabeth Sullivan, her husband Mark, their children Aidan and Emma, his Son Michael Ian Callihan, his wife Layne, his Brother Patrick Callihan and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Dennis attended Stephen F Austin High School and obtained both his Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering and Masters in Business Administration from University of Houston. He worked for several different Oil & Gas companies worldwide and had been in the Business Development sector for over 20 years. His most recent position was with Merichem as a Business Development Manager. He had a passion for renewables, and had been working on solutions for the removal of Hydrogen Sulfide. He worked extremely hard, and passed his tenacious work ethic to his children. He was loved and adored by his grandchildren. Being a native Houstonian, Dennis loved all different ethnicities of food, but his favorites were Tex-Mex and BBQ, and he was very vocal about how much he liked it. He will be greatly missed by his family, loved ones, and friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2015 and the funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at Forest Park Lawndale Cementery. 6900 Lawndale – 713-928-5141.
