

Diane grew up in Sulphur, Louisiana, where she graduated from Sulphur High School. She continued her education at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. After completing her studies, she moved to Houston, Texas, for her first job.
Throughout her career, Diane worked as a medical secretary and transcriptionist in Tomball, Texas. Later in life, she transitioned to a role as a legal secretary in Houston, Texas.
After the passing of her children's father, Diane moved her sons from Decatur, Alabama, to Spring, Texas, where she had previously lived and had friends. She resided in the same house in Spring for 45 years.
Diane had a passion for cross stitching, quilting, and other crafts. Her sons are grateful for her strength and dedication in raising them on her own.
She leaves behind her eldest son, Chuck Leonard, granddaughter Nicole Ward, and grandson Tony Leonard. She is preceded in death by her father, Jesse Deavers, mother, Laura Deavers, and son, Greg Leonard.
A committal service will be held at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on February 11, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends are kindly asked to make donations to the American Alzheimer's Association.
