Dolores Jeanette Arey, 75, a cherished and loving mother, aunt and friend passed peacefully in her sleep on August 10, 2015 comforted by her loved ones at Community Hospice of Fort Worth. Born July 12, 1940 in Houston, she was preceded in death by her parents John and Mema White, her loving sister Joanne Rowe and her lifelong friend Jane Ladner. Prior to her retirement, Dolores worked in accounting for medical and insurance companies. She moved to Fort Worth in 2004 with her best friend Jane and her precious dogs Daisy and Baby Girl. Together they enjoyed traveling and all the arts. Their favorite trips were to the casino for a night of slots. She is survived by her son Alan White of Houston, Howard and Nancy Ladner of Houston, Jimmy and Barbara Hayes and children of Houston, her Fort Worth family Dale and Laura Ladner and their children along with her friends Glenda, Joyce and Teresa.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday August 14, 2015 at the Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A Family only visitation will be held from 4-5pm and then will be open to the public from 5-9pm. The funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday August 15, 2015 at the Forest Park Lawndale Chapel of the Angels.
