Domitila Chavez Almaguer

Domitila Chavez de Almaguer, 95, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. She was born in Big Spring, Texas on May 13, 1925.

She was married in Monterrey, NL Mexico to Gilberto Almaguer Trevino on April 27,1946. Together they lived in Monterrey until summer of 1956 and immigrated to Houston, TX. Where they have resided at ever since.

She was preceded by her husband Gilberto Almaguer and her son Jose Gerardo Almaguer. She leaves behind her beloved children: wife of Jose Gerardo Almaguer DCSD, Sara Salazar-Almaguer, Juan Gilberto Almaguer and wife Leticia Quintero-Almaguer, Araceli Almaguer-Rocha and husband Victor Manuel Rocha, Javier Almaguer and wife Maria Esther Garza-Almaguer and Anaveli Almaguer-Rodriguez and husband Ruben Rodriguez. She had 13 Grandchildren: Cathy Almaguer- Sosa, husband Christopher Sosa, David Socrates Almaguer, wife Blanca Florez-Almaguer, Gilberto Ulysses Almaguer, wife Ramona Vazquez-Almaguer, Hessni Fabian Almaguer, wife Melissa Olivarri-Almaguer DCSD, Jerry Almaguer, Jennifer Almaguer, husband Jeremy Choate DCSD, Kristopher Almaguer, Victor Jonathan Rocha, wife Natalia Herrera-Rocha, Michael Charles Rocha, Amanda D’Ann Almaguer- Lopez, husband Nery Lopez, Javier Steven Almaguer, wife Gabriella Dolan-Almaguer, Reuben Rodriguez and RubyAnn Rodriguez. 18 Great-grandchildren: Jacob Sosa, Kristina Sosa, Christian Almaguer, David Jr, Almaguer, Emma Almaguer, Sadie Almaguer, Ethan Almaguer, Prudence Almaguer, Audio Almaguer, Marlow Almaguer, Sophia Choate, Indigo Choate, Isabella Lopez, Moses Lopez, Noah Lopez, Nery Gabriel Lopez, Javier Steven Almaguer Jr. and Cruz J. Almaguer.

Her preceded siblings; Alfredo Chavez, Pablo Chavez, Prajedis Chavez and, Felix Chavez.

She is survived by her brother Jose Chavez.

A Rosary will be will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.

A memorial service will occur Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM

A graveside at Forest Park Lawndale cemetery will occur Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 3:00 PM.
