It's still hard to put that blue shirt on, and even harder on the way home.  We had a ritual that I would call him after the games and give him a report.  Now he knows before I do.  Love and support for Margaret, Brian, & Kevin.  We are always there for you.

In times like these, words cannot always make things better. There are no words to express how we feel by Donnie's passing. For reasons we cannot understand, God decided to bring him home. Always FAIR never FOUL, Donnie was a pleasure to know. Often being a judge of BALLS and STRIKES always called em as he "SAW IT"...Donnie had many young folks cross his path in his many  years here on earth.He always set the PERFECT EXAMPLE. HEAVENS DIAMOND now has the ultimate KEEPER...."PLAY BALL" and of course as DONNIE  would  want it "NO TIME LIMIT"

HE WAS A KIND AND CARING PERSON AND AS A MEMBER OF HIS UMPIRING CREW HE ALWAYS CHECKED UP ON US IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING AND WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP.

Margaret & Boys,  Brenda and I are so sorry for your loss.  From the days of umpiring with Donnie, coordinating the many summer softball events & work acitivities through the City of Pasadena, There was 1 constant and that was Donnie's smile and easy going manner.  It will be missed!  Heaven just got a new UIC.  RIP

Its been an honor to be one of Donnie's umpires. I know this was one assignment you couldn't give back. We will miss you dearly. Margaret, Brian, Kevin thank you for sharing Donnie with us on game nights and weekends. My prayers are with you.

My family sends our condolences to the Beck family. My father just ran into Donnie at Walmart a couple of days ago and was shocked when he heard the news. He was so glad to have that opportunity to have a long talk with him in the aisles. His bright smile at the softball fields will be greatly missed. Our family has known him for years and are very thankful for the years he assisted my father with the Parks and Rec. department. May God bless your family.
