Born on August 25, 1949, in Houston, Donald was the son of the late Raymond and Joyce Jones.
He dedicated his career to building the city he loved, working for many years as a Commercial Construction Superintendent. He took great pride in his work, overseeing projects that shaped the city of Houston.
Donald was a man defined by his devotion to his family. His greatest joys were found in fishing, cheering relentlessly for his Astros and Texans, and, above all, spoiling his four cherished grandchildren. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, who will forever cherish the memories they made together.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Brenda Jones. He leaves behind his children: Joshua Jones, Chanel and her husband Phillip Richbourg, and Paula and her husband Brent Blackwell. He was a proud "Pop Pop" to Colette (11), Camille (9), Leah (8), and Barrett (6).
He is also survived by his siblings: Raymond Jones, Glenn Jones, Tommy Jones, Curtis Jones, Jane Turner, Mark Jones and Lesa Dumitru.
Donald was preceded in death by his brother, David Jones; his sister, Barbara Jones Monroe; and his sister, Suzanne Shober.
