Donald Ray Neptune was born April 4th, 1936 in Bartlesville Oklahoma to Frank (Bud) and Joy Neptune. He was the middle of three boys, Ted and Ken. Don was raised in Bartlesville and attended University of Oklahoma after graduating high school. During his college years, Don was a member of the Air Force ROTC. He enlisted in the Army Reserve Unit where he served as a tank commander on an M-48 Patton Medium tank. Don’s passion and interests led to various careers throughout his life. These included entrepreneurship in the oil and gas industry, real estate appraisal, and law enforcement.
Don married Judith Hazel Barrett on June 11th, 1960 in Houston Texas. They had two children, Bonnie & Barrett. He retired from the Harris County Constable Department Precinct 1 in 2013.
Don was a great son, great brother, great husband, great father, patient and loving grandfather and great grandfather, and to everybody he met, a great friend.
A visitation for Donald will be held Friday, January 8, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, Texas 77008. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, Texas 77008. A committal service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine St., Houston, Texas 77055.
