Donna Louise Thomas

Donna Louise Thomas of Cypress, Texas passed away on August 20, 2024 at the age of 63. She was born in Orange County, California on August 11, 1961. She was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmama, sister, and friend who will be missed beyond words.

A graduate of Lakes High School (1980), she grew up in the States of Washington, Oregon, and California. She worked for 30 plus years in the oil and gas industry, starting at Gulf Energy and more recently at Mitsui USA. She was an artist and a book lover who would always find her way to the ocean. She especially loved Saltar’s Point, Sunny Side Beach, and Ocean Shores in Washington State. We will remember her generous heart. She brought her open-hearted spirit to everyone.

She is preceded in death by her adoptive parents Gloria Stone and Dean Hathaway, by her birth mother Frances Grizzle, and by sister Deborah “Debbie” Ann Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 13 years and caregiver Patrick Thomas; her daughter Natalie (Naya) Jones and her partner Kevin Thomas; her stepson Eric (Katrina) and grandchildren Eric Jr., Ethan, and Eris; her father Manuel Armendarez; aunties Gloria, Vera, Rosemary, Gilda, Aida, and Toni; uncles Armando, Abel, and Jimmy; her sisters Susan, Sheri, Vickie, and Joann; her brothers Russell, David, and Mike (Diane); and niece and nephews Bekah (Anthony), Adam (Abby), Josiah (Rebecca) who will miss her deeply. She is also survived by a host of beloved nieces and nephews. She will be missed by sister friends Karen (Jimmy), Betty, Aunt Toni, Aunt Lois, and Cindy (Shane).

Her family thanks her Mitsui team for their condolences. They thank the medical team at Memorial Hermann Hospital - Cypress, TX. Our beloved Donna loved all animals, especially horses.
