Doris Mae Pigg

Doris Mae Pigg, was one of 5 children to Evelyn (Avera) and Gene DeRango, born on November 10, 1939 in Houston, Texas and entered into eternal rest, peacefully on January 7, 2022, reaching 82 years of age.

On November 11, 1959 she married the love of her life Raymond Pigg where they found themselves parents to 2 children, Gaynell and Martin. While raising her family, Doris worked as an elevator operator in Downtown Houston and later became a beautician. Her love for hair lasted over 40 years. She enjoyed holidays and BBQ's surrounded by loved ones. She had a strong love for all of her family especially her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Gene DeRango; her husband Raymond Pigg; her son Martin Pigg; brother Eugene DeRango; sisters Melba Janicki and Penny Kruger.

Doris is survived by her daughter; Gaynell Faltysek (James); granddaughters, Jamie Stuart(Dale) and Shelby Faltysek; her great-grand children Lacie and Logan Stuart; and sister Margie Abney.

A visitation for Doris will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A committal service will occur Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
