Dorothy L. Ferree, 83, was born on April 2, 1933 to Vannie and John Pawlowski. She was delivered at home by the town doctor, in Chappell Hill, Texas, on Indian Paint Brush Road. Dorothy later moved to Brenham, Texas where she attended school until her father went to work in Galveston when she was a teenager. Her first job was as a local Jewelry store clerk and she later found a better job doing payroll at American National Insurance Company. While out with friends on a blind date, she met Charles, the love of her life and husband to be, who was stationed at Ellington Air Force Base. After a short courtship they married on December 21, 1952. To this union four years later, they welcomed a son Michael, and four years later welcomed Glenda, their daughter. They were married for 59 years and bought several homes over the years and the rest was history. In the end she battled health issues and was surrounded by help from Hospice with Grace and family members.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two children, Michael and Glenda; one son-in-law, Wayne Daniel; two grandsons, James and Daniel; one brother, Sonny Panlowski and a sister, Garcie Gonzales. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ferree and sister, Barbara Tribula.
She wanted everyone who touched her life to know she loved them. May God grant her Peace.
