Dear Aunt Dorothy: Your legacy is your endless devotion to your daughter Melissa, and your matchless example of love and caring to a multitude of nieces, nephews, and neighbors. A deep heartfelt thanks for your love for your sister and my mother Lucille, and my dad Lawrence. You were always there for them until the time of their passing, and we all appreciated that beyond measure. You were Mother's confidante, and could relate to her and comfort her on a different level, something I know she really needed and valued. Even my children living far away will always remember Aunt Dorothy and cousin Melissa. I didn't say it enough on this side, but I love you so much and fervently desire to rush into your open arms beyond the Veil.

Great Aunt Dorothy, you always treated us like Kings and Queens when we visited during our childhood. The fun loving, energetic, full of laughter woman that I got to know as a child, I still remember today. Oh the value in good quality conversations with those you love I now fully realize as I am 30 years old. It was a delight to see you in October, it brought me back to my teenage years as you were the same happy soul you had always been. I'm happy that you have received rest in the kingdom with God. I was happy to sing How Great Thou Art, a beautiful song at your memorial service. I will forever remember you're smile & love.

Dear Aunt Dorothy,

 Praying that you will be in eternal happiness with Jesus. I will miss talking with you. You were a lot of fun, full of interesting stories and the kids always looked forward to visiting with you and Melissa.

Wow. Aunt Dorothy!  -I didn't see her often since we lived out of town but every time we got the chance to visit she was always so kind and inviting.  Like someone else above said-she devoted her life to Melissa and I admire that very much.  With love, Julie Cain Landrum (Lampasas, TX)

Dorothy I will always remember, since the day I first met you, Melissa and Joe, how welcoming you all were to me each time I came to visit.  Each visit brought as much excitment from you and Melissa as if it was the first.  The feeling was mutual. You always remembered me at holidays, birthdays, and every milestone of my life since I was about 8 years old. Once I married and had a daughter it seemed as if you just continued on with her. Both my husband and daughter think as highly of you as I do. You will be dearly missed here on earth but how lucky you are to be with our Father the Almighty, in peace and pain free while at the hand of God. We know he welcomed his Angel with open arms. We love you Dorothy.

What a sweetheart of a lady Dorothy was.  I met her at Legend Oaks while she was there.  We got to pray together, and she was blessed with what was awaiting her, and that one day she and Melissa would be together forever.  I will miss her so much.  What a blessing!  Judy Willis
