Douglas Harry James, 62, born July 7, 1951 to Vivien James and Margaret Woodfield James in Binghamton, New York, passed away October 1, 2013 in Houston. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phyllis Larson. He is survived by his life partner, David Sanchez; brother, David James; sister, Melissa James, and by many family, friends, and co-workers.
His gentle soul, the warmth of his smile, his kindness, and his love will always be a part of me, along with his loving family and many friends.
A rosary and memorial service commemorating Douglas’ life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2013 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home. A reception and gathering of friends and family will follow in the Waltrip Room of Heights Funeral Home.
