Elder Pinkston Lee Bell

Biography of Elder, Dr. Pinkston L. Bell, Jr. Elder, Dr. Pinkston L. Bell, Jr. is known as a man of integrity, Character and wisdom. He is the son of the late Superintendent and Mrs. Pinkston Bell, Sr. At the age of 15, he accepted the Lord as his Savior at Buck Street Church, under the leadership of the late Pastor John Gamble. Prior to his appointment as Pastor, he served the local church as a member of the Usher Board, Choir Member, President of YPWW, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon, Member of the Trustee Board, Associate Minister and Assistant Pastor of Buck Street Church, under the leadership of the Presiding Bishop Henderson. Elder Bell graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and studied two year at Texas Southern University prior to being drafted in the US Army. During his tenor In the Texas South Central Jurisdiction (TSC) of the Church of God In Christ, he served as an Administrative Assistant to the Jurisdictional Prelate, was a member of the Board of Directors, Secretary-Treasurer of the YPWW, State Sunday School Superintendent and Dean of the School of Ordinations. He also served as the Treasurer of the Northwest Houston District of the TSC Jurisdiction.   Elder Bell was a member of the Houston Ministers Against Crime (HMAC), the Sergeant at Arms in the Kashmere Garden Super Neighborhood Initiative Organization and the Executive Board of the Prairie View A&M University Ministerial Organization. In 2002, Elder Bell received the “Outstanding Minister Award” at the Ministers’ Conference at Prairie View A&M University. He also received a Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from the Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College, Sacramento, CA in 2012. Elder Bell was married to Earleane Bell, and was blessed with one son Keith Bell. His greatest desire was to build up the Kingdom of God in the hearts of people, and make Jesus real in their life. He wanted Buck Street Church to be a shining light in the community and a healing place for a hurting world.
