Elinor Leroy Arnold III, age 66, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016. Born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who loved to fish, and had served his country honorably with the Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was preceded in death by his father, Elinor Leroy Arnold, Jr. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Laura Arnold; sons, Elinor Leroy Arnold IV, and Michael Arnold and wife Banita; daughters, LaToya Arnold, and Crystal Arnold; grandchildren, Michael Arnold, Damia Luckett, Adrien Arnold, Jayla Beckwith, Kyrie Arnold, Xaveyon Arnold, and Mahalia Arnold; mother, Thurlyne Arnold; brothers, Sherron Arnold, Danny Arnold, Eddie Arnold and wife Gloria, Randall Arnold, and Kevin Arnold; sisters, Vanessa Garcia, Kim Sanders and husband Ray, Tonia Citizen and husband David, and Carla Allen and husband Willie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 9:00 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2016 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
