Elizabeth R. Torres

Elizabeth R. Torres, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 8, 2011. Elizabeth, 59, was born in Houston, TX on July 12, 1952. She graduated from University of Houston in Business. She was devoted to her family and friends and was always one to lend a helping hand. She loved spending time with her family, going to the movies, and visiting the beach. Her faith, love, generosity, and caring nature will be deeply missed.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 34 years, Jessie Raymond Torres; her children Katrina Torres, Stephanie Añorga and husband Joel, Jesse R. Torres Jr., and Johnathan Torres; her grandchildren Gabriela Torres, Lilliana Torres, and Kaitlyn Alvarado. She is also survived by her mother Isabel Ramirez, her siblings George Ramirez and wife Kathy, Anastacio Ramirez, Paul Ramirez Jr. and wife Tomasa, Florentina Leal and husband Rafael and many loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Paul Ramirez Sr.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park – Lawndale Funeral home on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 5:00 PM-9:00 PM. A rosary will be held in honor of Elizabeth at 7:30 PM during the visitation.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Forest Park Cemetery immediately following the funeral mass.
