Elvin Paul Neveu, born August 17, 1928 to Archie and Gabrielle Neveu in Houston, Texas, passed away January 5, 2014 in Katy, Texas. Mr. Neveu was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Lois Lugenia ”Gennie” Neveu, his parents (named above), and brothers Waldo and Archie Neveu. He is survived by daughter Paula Hurtig; son Stephen Neveu; grandchildren JD Hurtig and wife Geneva, Aaron Neveu and wife Natasha, and Curtis Neveu and wife Ruthanne; great-grandchildren Taylor, Weston, and Gracie Neveu; step great-grandchildren Dustin, Conner, and Emery; brother Edward Neveu; sister Florence Riley, and by numerous other extended family.
Elvin “Nebbie” Neveu served his country proudly in the Navy aboard the USN CVL Cabot. He worked for Southwestern Bell for 38 years and never missed a day of work. He loved playing the harmonica and had a great singing voice. Elvin was an honest man who tried his best to keep our crazy family in line! He will be dearly missed.
