Eric James Cummings

Eric is survived by his wife Shannon of 19 years and their children Summer, Zachary, Bailey, Samantha, and Blake and two grandchildren Autumn and Henry. He is also survived by his parents Susan Hamel and

husband Elmer and Jim Cummings and wife Janet, his grandmother Jane Weiman, and siblings Cyndi Hartwell and husband Aaron, Jason Mott and wife Jennifer, Kelly Hord and husband David, Matthew Cummings and wife Melissa, as well as in-laws, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and

cousins.

His family became members of Fairmont Park Church in 2010. Eric quickly became immersed in the church and had a heart and attitude for service to others. In 2014, he was ordained as a Deacon and continued to

exemplify the hands and feet of Christ.

Over the course of decades, Eric developed a reputation of honesty and integrity in the automotive repair industry. In 2018 he was able to fulfill his dream of being a small business owner when he purchased Uvalde Muffler and continued to provide superior services to his local community.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Fairmont Park Church in La Porte, Texas. The viewing will be held at 4pm with services to follow at 5pm.
