

Ms. Estelle Ray Clark, age 94 of Manvel, Texas passed away January 23, 2015 at St. Luke’s hospital, surrounded by her family. Estelle was born in Galveston, TX, May 29, 1920 to James and Irene Ray. She attended school in Galveston and at the age of 14 she began a 38 year career with Luby’s Cafeteria and continued her career managing the famous Mariposa at Neiman Marcus. At a young age, Estelle married Everett Walker of Galveston, Texas and they were blessed with one son, John Walker. Later in life Estelle married Ed Clark and they spent their years together traveling the world. She loved to travel and enjoyed the finer things in life.
Estelle was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Manvel. At the age of 94, she was still very involved in her church, including the senior social group, God’s Bunch and assisting with the weekly financial duties.
Estelle’s loving memory will be carried on by her son John Walker of Manvel, Texas; her granddaughter Jeri Franklin and her husband Jeff of Missouri City, Texas; her 3 grandsons John Phillip Walker and his wife Carol of Hamilton, Montana, Tommy Jones and his wife Retta, of League City, Texas, and John Lee Kuhn and his wife Amy of Tomball, Texas along with her 8 great grandchildren, Walker, Mikaela, Cory, Colin, Olivia, Josh, John, and Holly.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Irene Ray, her husband, Ed Clark, her first husband Everett Walker, father of John Walker and eight brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 starting at 10:00 am at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Services will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow.
