Eugenia Mae Corley

Jean worked as Variety Manager for Safeway/Appletree for 22 years. She was actively involved in Glenbrook Methodist Church and various local social clubs.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Markham Corley, daughter Sharon Onxley, son John Corley, and sister Annette Williams. She is survived by her son Stephen Onxley and wife Paula, daughter Helen Corley, granddaughter Tova Rosas, grandson Matthew Onxley and wife Jennifer, granddaughter Sarah Onxley, and five great grandchildren.

Jean and Markham lived a wonderful life. They had some very special friends, especially their next-door neighbors, the Flores Family. They adopted Jean and Markham and included them in every family event. It was an amazing and loving friendship.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heartis, The Crossing, Trinity Hospice, and Kim Switzer for the care and compassion they showed our mother in her final days.

A visitation for Eugenia will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will occur Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
