Eula Woodard (neé Williams) was born on March 27, 1941 to Nathaniel Williams and Bessie Williams in Natchitoches, LA. Eula’s family later moved to Houston, Texas, when she was four years of age. Eula united with Joe Woodard on January 4, 1966 and was blessed with four children Byron, Barry, Brooke, and Brandon. Eula attended and later graduated from Wiley College with a degree in Sociology in 1968. She worked many years as a social worker before retirement. Eula Woodard was a member and served at Damascus Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. L.F. Chaney where she remained faithful until her health no longer permitted. On June 26, 2016, Eula made her transition. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Williams; her father, Nathaniel Williams; her brothers, Nathaniel Williams, Jr. and Joe Edward; her sister, Betty Williams, and son Brandon Woodard. She leaves, to cherish her memory: her sons, Byron (LaShan) and Barry; daughter Brooke; and grandchild, Bailey Woodard. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Washington, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
