Eusebia Ramirez

On the eve of October 25, 2017, the Lord summoned Eusebia Ramirez de Arrieta, to be with Him in Heaven. We are blessed beyond words for every day we had with her. She was born in Cieneguita, Nuevo Leon in Mexico on March 12, 1928 to her parents Trinidad and Valentin Arrieta. She met the man that would be her life-long partner, Pablo Ramirez in 1958. They married in 1959 and eventually moved to Houston, Texas in 1973. There they became members at the only church they would ever call their home church, La Hermosa Christian Church. Alongside her husband, Eusebia was a devoted Christian woman. Her faith in Jesus Christ grew and never wavered throughout the years. Eusebia is survived by her beloved husband, Pablo, as well as daughter Susan Ramirez, grand-daughter Caley Elena Mittelsted and adopted daughter Dr. Luz Elena Vela.

Eusebia was a bona fide farm girl, born and raised on a farm that contributed to her strong and healthy life. Although she only had a fifth grade education she used every ounce of that education to read the word of God daily with a passion until she was no longer able to. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Cruz Barron, Gregoria De Leon, Maria Elizondo, and brothers Eugenio and Jesus Arrieta. Our consolation in the loss of this matriarch is that she is rejoicing in the place she often dreamt about. Her faith was strong and took presidence over everything. Often she was seen reading her Bible out loud. She also loved to whistle or sing praise songs while she did her housework. Her other passion here on earth was gardening. She had a green thumb that could grow anything. She also enjoyed cooking and being a homemaker. It was in her home that she peacefully passed away while she slept. She will be missed but our comfort is in knowing she is now living her eternal life.

Visitation will take place Friday afternoon November 3rd from 4:00-6:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale (Chapel of the Angels) 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023 followed by an informal service led by Rev. Robert Villarreal from 6:00-7:00 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Billy Gaytan, will take place on Saturday, November 4th at 11:00 AM.

En la víspera del 25 de Octubre de 2017, el Señor convocó a Eusebia Ramírez de Arrieta, para que estuviera con El en el Cielo. Somos bendecidos más que palabras puedan decir, por cada día que tuvimos con ella. Ella nació en Cieneguita, Nuevo León en México, el 12 de Marzo de 1928 a sus padres Trinidad y Valentin Arrieta. En 1958 conoció a Pablo Ramirez el qual vino a ser su compañero por el resto de su vida. Se casaron en 1959 y finalmente se mudaron a Houston, Texas en 1973. Allí se hicieron miembros de la única iglesia que llamarían su iglesia local, La Hermosa Christian Church. Junto a su esposo, Eusebia era una mujer cristiana y fiel a su Creador. Su fe en Jesucristo creció y nunca vacilaba a lo largo de los años. A Eusebia le sobreviven su amado esposo, Pablo, su hija Susana Ramirez, su nieta Caley Elena Mittelsted y su hija adoptiva, Dra. Luz Elena Vela.

Eusebia era una granjera de todo derecho, nacida y criada en una granja. Fue durante este crecimiento que estamos seguros contribuyeron a su vida fuerte y saludable. Aunque solo tenía una educación de quinto grado, utilizó cada onza de esa educación para leer la palabra de Dios diariamente con pasión, hasta que ya no pudo hacerlo. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, sus hermanas Cruz Barron, Gregoria DeLeon, María Elizondo, y sus hermanos Eugenio y Jesús Arrieta. Nuestro consuelo en la pérdida de esta matriarca es que se regocija en el lugar con el que a menudo soñó. Su fe era fuerte y tomó presidencia sobre todo. Muchísimas veces se la veía leyendo su Biblia en voz alta. También le encantaba silbar o cantar alabanzas mientras hacía sus tareas domésticas. Su otra pasión, aquí en la tierra, fue la jardinería. Ella tenía un pulgar verde que podía hacer crecer cualquier cosa. Le gustaba cocinar y ser ama de casa. Fue en su casa donde falleció pacíficamente mientras dormía. Ella será extrañada, pero nuestro consuelo está en la vida eterna que ella ahora está disfrutando.

Las visitas se llevarán a cabo el Viernes 3 de la tarde de 4:00 a 6:00 p.m. en Forest Park Lawndale (Capilla de los Ángeles) 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023 seguido de un servicio informal dirigido por el Reverendo Robert Villarreal a partir de las 6:00 -7:00 PM. El servicio fúnebre, oficiado por el Reverendo Billy Gaytan, tendrá lugar el Sábado, 4 de Noviembre a las 11:00 a.m.
