

Eva was born to Claudio Kendrick and Nettie Kendrick, on February 13, 1939, in Crockett, Tx. She graduated from Crockett High School, class of 1957. She married Don Overstreet in 1957, and they lived together in Crockett, Texas for three years then moved to Houston, Texas. Together they raised 2 daughters, Donna Kaye Overstreet Quintanilla and Susan Marie Overstreet Muniz .
Eva is survived by her daughters, Donna Kaye Overstreet Quintanilla and Susan Marie Overstreet Muniz; grandchildren, Eva Martha Quintanilla Rocha, Hector Quintanilla III, Amanda Beatrice Salazar, Frank
Garcia, Claudia Cantu, Eli Arredondo and Ashley Arredondo; great grandchildren, Jayden Hector Salazar, Omar Salazar Jr, Damian Salazar, Evelynn Katie Salazar, Nathan Daniel Landaverde, Jazlynn Marie Elizalde, Adilynn Le’ann Hernandez, Acelynn Love Hernandez, Zane Axel Hernandez, Nadia Hernandez and Adrian Elias Arredondo. She also leaves to cherish her memory her nieces, nephews and friends.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Claudio Kendrick and Nettie Kendrick; brothers, Claudio Kendrick and Don Kendrick, and sister, Lolita Omelina Kendrick.
Eva worked at Willie’s Ice House for 25 years. She enjoyed going shopping, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and taking care of her beloved pets.
Eva had a kind heart, always caring for her family and looking after them. She will be missed by many but her memory will carry on in their hearts.
An intimate viewing for immediate family is scheduled for June 4th, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m followed by a public visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Ave. Houston, TX 77023.
