

Evelyn, was the youngest child born to Lela Miller and Lloyd Miller both who preceded her in death along with her sisters Erma Rae Friley and Louise Brady. Her loving husband Elwood of 47 years preceded her death along with her grandson Brian Martin. She graduated from Austin High School and went to the University of Houston for accounting and clerical classes. She worked for 48 years at Houston Belt and Terminal Railroad. She was a member of Westbury United Methodist Church. Mom’s passion was to go to Las Vegas and play Keno, along with walking her dog her companion ‘Mickey D’. Mom always enjoyed shopping and finding good deals along with studying the stock market. Mom could always advise you where to find a good deal. Mom loved to read bible versus and pray for everyone. She had a strong belief and knew ‘All would be Well’. Mom had several other passions sitting on the dock of the bay at Caney Creek, Sargent Texas and rocking in her rocking chair at Cat Spring, Texas. She and daddy both loved to have family gathering at both of these places. There are many other relatives and friends who will be greatly saddened by the untimely death of this lovely lady.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Vickie Johnson and husband Mike, Becky Martin and husband Henry. She is also survived by her Grandchildren, Bobby Koetting, Joey Koetting, Rachel Koetting, Emily Johnson, Brian Martin and Allan Martin as well as her Great-Grandchildren: M’Lynn Koetting, Grace Koetting and Charles Martin.

The family will be accepting visitors will be held on Saturday, August 27, 20016 at 1:00 p.m. with a service at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The cemetery service will immediately follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
