She was a lifetime resident of the Spring Branch Area of Houston and graduated from Spring Branch Senior High School in 1953. During her school career, Evelyn was involved in numerous sports, marching band and a member of the Bruin Brigade Drill Team.
Faith was instilled in Evelyn at an early age. She was baptized and confirmed in 1948 at St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed Church and remained an active member of the church as it transitioned over the years. In later years, she loved baking cookies for the Church Members to be enjoyed after the service.
Evelyn took great pride in caring for others with kindness and grace. She was always the first to greet you with a smile. Never leaving the house without her hair done and her makeup on, she believed you should always look your best. She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She made every birthday and holiday a special celebration to remember. Her family was a great priority and she devoted her time and love to them throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert Allen Kingsbury Jr. She is survived by her children; Suzy and husband Eldon Yeager and Sherry and husband Jessie Reyna. Grandchildren; Trevor and wife Kathy Yeager, Jeremy and wife Joanna Reyna, Hilary and husband Randy Vaughn, and Cassie and husband Bryan Lane. Great grandchildren; Brett and Kasey Yeager, Jocelyn and Juliana Reyna, Lane and Cheyenne Vaughn, and William and Oliver Lane.
