Mrs. Evelyn Louise (Dabney) Prince

Evelyn Louise Prince of Houston, Texas received her wings on January 13, 2025. She passed away at Houston Methodist Hospital with her spouse by her side. Her Life of sweet memories will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

She was born Evelyn Louise Dabney on November 24, 1949,to Willie and Ruthie Dabney.

She sincerely loved the Lord and accepted Christ in her life on October 30, 1994. She was baptized by Pastor Ruben Braziel. Prior to her passing Evelyn was a faithful member of Brown Chapel A.M.E Church under the leadership of Rev.Dr. Leonard Lee Pastor.

Evelyn graduated from Jack Yates High School. Afterward she enlisted into the job corps for several years. Shortly thereafter she married C B Prince Jr. They were united in holy matrimony until her passing. They had been married for forty years.

During her lifetime Evelyn made a career as a chef at MD Anderson Cancer Center for 28 years prior to her retirement in 2001.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her mother Ruthie Dabney; father Willie Dabney; grandparents Walter and Julie Mae Cloud; one brother Sammie Lee Cloud Sr, who passed away October 31, 2024.

Our beloved Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory her faithful and dedicated spouse, C B Prince Jr; bonus daughter, Paulette Potts (Mark); two brothers, Lee Frances; Reginal Turner; host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and the entire Brown Chapel Church Family.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Johnny Edwards for thirty incredible years of friendship , support, and loyalty. Your unwavering support over the past three decades has meant the world to us. We are truly grateful for your friendship.
