Faye Shirlene Blaylock went to join her beloved husband, Robert G. Blaylock, in heaven on February 24, 2016. She was born on June 16.1936 to Euna Mae Woodard and Dewey B. Woodard, Sr. of Houston, TX. Her early years were notable for taking piano lessons, watching over her younger sister and brother and joining the Scottish Brigade at her high school. She also participated in her local Methodist church community where she met "Bobby" and also where they were married in 1956. Her role as a police officer's wife and working mother was not always easy, but she handled those jobs well.
Years later she became a real estate agent who ultimately obtained her brokers license and opened her own business. After retirement, she and Bobby were able to build their dream home in the beautiful Texas Hill Country where they lived happily for many years. Her warm smile, pleasant laughter, sense of humor, cheerful songs and caring and generous heart will be missed on earth but met with rejoicing in heaven. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl L. Blaylock, M.D. of Weatherford, TX., her sister, Carol Y. Mezghani of Dickinson, TX and her brother, Dewey B. Woodard, Jr. of Cleveland, TX.
