On Wednesday morning, F. Lee Croucher passed away at the age of 70, following an eight-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He spent his final days at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was a native of Houston and the only child of Frank D. and Bereta P. Croucher. He attended Jones High School before earning a degree in political science from the University of Houston. He was an avid fan of all things UH.
He had a creative mind and an entrepreneurial spirit, running a successful healthcare financial service company for almost three decades. Following his business career, his heart for service led him to life as a missionary, raising funds and leading short-term mission trips all over the world, including locations in the Caribbean.
He cared deeply for others and never met a person he wouldn’t call a friend. He loved being a dad and a husband.
He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and beloved wife of 46 years, Brenda Brantley Croucher; son Brant and wife, Elaine Balagia; daughter Lauren; daughter Ashley and husband, Daniel Forrest; son Benjamin; and four grandchildren, Emilia, Birdie, Doc, and Nellie, whom he adored. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will take place at 11am on Tuesday, June 29th, at Cypress Bible Church, 11711 Cypress N Houston, Cypress, TX 77429.
