Frank grew up on a farm in East Bernard, Texas, then moved to Houston and worked at Rainer Meat Packing Co. He was drafted to the Army, during the Korean war, was stationed in Bakersfield, California, and moved back to Houston when he got out of the service.
Two weeks before leaving to the Service, he met the Love of his Life, JoAnn, at a dance in Needville, Texas. They wrote letters and visited and then were married on April 30, 1955, and lived in Houston, Texas. He started working at Mosher Steel Co. and then went to Hudson Engineering Co., as a Draftsman and became a Squad Boss. Due to needing to help his family on the farm, Frank only had an Elementary grade education, but had a great ability to apply himself and work hard to do well with his career and to provide for his family.
Over the years, Frank loved to spend time and did some traveling with his children and their spouses and all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed playing dominos and cards and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing and doing things outdoors. In his Retirement years, him and JoAnn loved spending time at the country-place in Madisonville, TX, and enjoyed sharing all the deer hunting stories.
He enjoyed riding the old Yellow Massey Ferguson tractor and the 4 wheelers all around the property.
He also loved making BBQ. He had a hobby making crosses and flags. He loved taking care of his yard almost his entire life and had a green thumb with growing any kind of plants.
He was so dedicated to taking care of JoAnn through all of her Cancer treatments and appointments. Frank stayed by her side constantly during her entire illness and took very good care of her. We will all miss him and cherish his memory!! Frank was a wonderful and caring Husband, Dad and Grandpa, he was one of the Best!!!
