

He met his loving and devoted wife Helen of 62 years at All Saints Catholic Church, and after he married Helen in 1950, Frank was drafted into the Army during the Korean Conflict. Frank worked for Texaco for 42 years where he started in the mail room and worked his way up to Tax Accountant. He was also very passionate about his love of photography which he was involved with for Texaco as well. Helen and Frank gave birth to 7 beautiful children and settled into their home in the Heights in Houston, Texas. Frank became an Ordained Deacon in the Catholic Church at the age of 41 and served the community until his death.
Frank is survived by his wife Helen, brother Jim Matula, sisters Katie Boushka and Emily Maggard, children Lorrie Matula, Sandy and husband Mike Winzig, Kathy Caldwell, Mike and wife Mary Matula, Tom Matula, and Cheryl and husband John Cherowitz, grandchildren, Paul and Greg Winzig, Steven and Daniel Ferguson, Chris, Jennifer and Nicholas Caldwell, Kelley Beakley and Aaron Matula, and Matthew Matula, great grandchildren, Ayden, Hayden, and Jaxon (JC) Beakley. As well as many other loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends and family for visitation on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Heights Funeral Home with the rosary from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at All Saints Catholic Church, 215 E. 10th St., Houston, Texas 77008. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale.
