Frank Perez Romero, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away November 20, 2015. Frank was born to Flavio and Primitiva Romero on July 10, 1927 in Waco, Texas. He was a veteran of the U S Army serving during WWII, he worked in Nursing Services for the VA Hospital of Houston retiring after 35 years. Preceding him in death are his parents, son, Frank Michael Romero; granddaughter, Carol Ashley Romero Alonso. Frank is lovingly survived by his wife of 67 years, Carolina Gonzales Romero; daughters and son-in-laws, Nancy Duarte (James), Nora Vandenberghe (Rene), Anita D. Arellano (Manuel), Susan Henderson (Ernest), daughter, Frances Grace Gonzales & Espy Mendez, and daughter-in-law, Lile C. Romero; 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson; one sister, Consuelo Cantu. Frank was a caring and compassionate person who always helped others and taught anyone that was willing to learn what ever he knew, he was a jack of all trades. Frank was a 30 year member of the VFW Post 8930. Visitation 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 and the Funeral Service will be held at 10:30a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 both in the Grand Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow the funeral service at Houston National Cemetery.
