I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Fred, as we very fondly called him, some 9 years ago when the oldest of my three daughters started band at Space Center Intermediate School.  Over the years he did many repairs on their oboe, alto saxophone and clarinet and always took time in his own quiet way to talk with my kids about what they were doing in their school bands.   He was genuinely interested to hear what they had to say.   We will miss him.  With my deep sympathy for your loss.  -

Fred was an important part of my family and a wonderful grandpa for my son. We miss him.

I also had the privilege of working with Fred at H&H for several years.  He was indeed a great man, a master of his craft, a kind Christian friend, and a superb musician.  He will be missed by many people.  My thoughts and prayers are with Becki and all of Fred's family.

My heart goes out to Becki and the entire family.  Fred had such a sweet, gentle soul and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.  Becki - many, many hugs to you as you journey through this time.  May you feel God's arms around you, protecting you and comforting you.  I feel your loss and have been where you are. My husband, Craig, worked with Fred at H&H almost 20 years ago.  Fred was a class act and will be dearly missed.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Fred Freeman is a great man. He was kind,funny and smart. He was one of the few men I had met in my life that was so much like my own father. I had the pleasure and honor of working with Fred for almost 7 years and I know how greatly he was loved and he will truly be missed. My heart and prayers go out to Fred and his family.

I loved Fred so much and was a better person for knowing him.  He will be missed by so many people and remembered for what a wonderful man he was.

Fred was such a gentle soul. Knew Fred before he married Becki. He worked on my daughter's instruments several times. Becki and Fred were such a good team. God's Blessings to all of his family- you are in my prayers.

I am honored to have had the opportunity to get to know Fred through the SJCC/Pearland Community Band. Not only was he a talented musician, he was a also a kind, thoughtful individual, always willing to lend a hand with any problem. I am thankful to been blessed with an extra visit at H&H less than two weeks ago. I will never forget your smile. God Bless.

I sat next to Fred since joining the Pearland Community Bank in January 2009.  He played first alto sax, and I played second.  He was such a quiet unassuming man, yet had such a funny, dry sense of humor, with a great smile.  He was so talented and I enjoyed listening to him play solos.  I am grateful for having known him and for his love of music.

I am so thankful to Fred for sharing his talents with the Pearland Community Band.  It has been such an honor having known him.  He was such a quiet and gentle soul but a wonderful musician.

It has been an honor to have known Fred and his wife Becki.  I really enjoyed their friendship while I was Second Baptist Houston.  Even though I am teaching overseas I still have fond memories of our friendship.  May the Lord bless both families and give you peace during this time.

I had the pleasure of working with Fred for quite a few years. He was honest, dependable, faithful, and practiced what he preached. He was a man of few words, but he would always listen to what others had to say. He was a good example of what a Christian man should be. I have no doubt that he is in Heaven. Becki, you gave Fred such great joy. I know you will miss him, as we all will. Someday, I know you will see him again, where there will be no more death or sorrow. God bless you and the memory of such a good man.

Thank you so much for your service in the orchestra at Second Baptist Church. I publicly repeat what I have shared with both Fred and Becki: It is such a joy to sing in the choir when accompanied by such talented musicians in a great orchestra and band. The Cliff Notes Bible Study class appreciates the “mini concerts” you and Becki gave as your Christmas present to us. Your range of musical talent is about to be expanded beyond what you ever could have imagined as you join the heavenly orchestra! You will be sorely missed at Second Baptist.
