Frieda Cecilia Evelo Roxburgh died January 2, 2011, at the age of 93. She was born December 11, 1917, in Buffalo, NY to parents John and Pearl Evelo and has resided in Houston since 1928. She was a member of Garden Villas United Methodist Church. "Grandma" was a beacon of strength and a fountain of continual encouragement and optimism. She will be missed by her family and all those who loved her.
Frieda was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Nevelton Roxburgh and great granddaughter, Sydney Lee Roxburgh.
Frieda is survived by her son, Charles Douglas Roxburgh and his wife Shirley and her daughter Sandra Roxburgh Bussey. Frieda was the proud grandmother of Sam Roxburgh, Roxanna Putney , Lisa Bloom, and Daniel Bussey. She adored her great grandchildren, Lacy, Dustin, Sydney, Shaylan, Sara, and Addison.
Frieda is also survived by her brother John E. Evelo of Elma, NY.
A family service in gratitude to God for the life of Frieda will be held with burial at Forest Park East.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2010 from 12pm to 7pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home
